As with the Tahoe, each model comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and either RWD or AWD.

The fuel-efficiency of the Chevy Tahoe depends on which powertrain you select. The most fuel-efficient version is the diesel engine, which has a rating of 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. With the other two engines, expect to get around 16 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

Since the Toyota Sequoia is a hybrid vehicle, you can expect pretty good fuel efficiency. With a rear-wheel drive model, the EPA rates this Toyota at 21 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. For the four-wheel drive version, this changes to 19 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. This makes the Toyota Sequoia more fuel-efficient than the standard Chevrolet Tahoe model but less efficient than its diesel version.

Moving inside, the Chevrolet Tahoe offers a spacious interior that’s sure to please owners that typically have a lot of passengers. There are three rows of seats in this large SUV, the second of which you can adjust by sliding to give more room for adults wherever they’re sitting. There’s also plenty of cargo space, with a maximum rating of 123 cubic feet when you fold down the rear seats. All the seats come in a comfortable upholstery, and there are comfort features like climate control and heated seats.

The Toyota Sequoia offers a similar interior cabin. It’s spacious and has three rows of seats. With the second row, you can get either a bench or captain’s chairs, depending on your preference. One of the downsides of the Toyota Sequoia is the lack of headroom in the rear seats, especially for taller passengers. However, the rest of the Toyota Sequoia interior is pleasant, with comfortable materials throughout, with the option to add more luxurious elements like leather upholstery on more premium trims.

A great feature of both these SUVs is the entertainment setup. The 2022 Ram 1500 Under The Hood

The 2022 Ram 1500 is also designed with one of four available engines. One runs on regular gas, one is a mild hybrid, one runs on diesel, and one is available in regular gas or mild hybrid format. The regular gas version also has the largest and most powerful engine. It’s a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 providing 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Its drivetrain is four-wheel drive only.

The mild hybrid is a 3.6-liter V-6 ETorque engine granting 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The turbo diesel is a 3.0-liter V-6 generating 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. The one available in two forms is a 5.7-liter ETorque engine granting 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. All the versions come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 2023 Suburban is also available with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, giving you the option to tailor your SUV to your specific needs.

Meanwhile, the lowest towing capacity you’ll find on a 2023 Suburban is 7,800 pounds — if you choose the four-wheel drive 6.2L V-8 engine. However, you can bump that up to 8,000 pounds by choosing the rear-wheel drive version of the same engine option with the Max Trailering package. 

The rear-wheel drive 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine is the second most capable in towing. It offers a maximum towing capacity of 8,200 pounds when equipped with the Max Trailering package. Nevertheless, that plunges to 7,800 pounds if you go with the four-wheel drive diesel engine. As per the figures, it’s clear that if you’re planning on doing any serious towing, you’ll want to stick with the rear-wheel drive version of the gas-powered 5.3L V-8 or the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. Both powertrains offer best-in-class towing capacity and can easily tow most boats, trailers, and RVs with ease.

Towing accessories available on the 2023 Suburban include a trailering camera system, which gives you a clear view of what’s behind you when you’re hauling a trailer. This system includes a rearview camera and two side-view cameras. A trailer sway control system also helps keep your trailer in line, even on windy days. Hitch Guidance is now standard on all Suburbans, and it uses sensors to guide you into proper alignment with your trailer’s hitch. This system makes hitching up a trailer a breeze, even if you’re doing it yourself. 

And for those times when you need to do a little off-roading, the 2023 Suburban comes standard with Hill Descent Control. Starting the holiday season in December is Christmas on the River, a three-day festival held along Savannah’s waterfront on historic River Street. A promising option for those with younger children, the highlight is the annual Lighted Christmas Parade with holiday-decorated and lighted floats, cars, trolleys, and walking groups. This year the parade route begins at the west end of River Street at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2022.

The four-day Savannah Book Festival in February is one of the city’s more well-known festivals. It’s free of charge to the public on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, and you can purchase books and have them signed by the author, attend author presentations, and sample food and drinks from local businesses. Watch A Christmas Show At The Savannah Theatre

Opened in 1818, The Historic Savannah Theatre offers dozens of holiday-themed shows and live performances every holiday season. Starting in November, Old Town Trolley’s Holiday Sights & Festive Nights Tour is a great activity for families. The two-hour tour, travels through Savannah with stops at Davenport House for a 19th-century holiday experience and the Plant Riverside District for a visit with Santa and a view of festive light displays, all while enjoying some holiday treats and local stories. Tickets are $31.03 for adults and $19.26 for children (ages 4 to 12).

Location: Starts and ends at the Old Town Trolley Depot at 250 MLK Junior Blvd.

Hours: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Visit The Savannah Christmas Market 

Entering its third year, the Savannah Christmas Market is a free open-air market in the Plant Riverside District that showcases a variety of wares from local vendors, such as gifts, trinkets, food, and drinks. Running from November through the new year, the Christmas Market begins with a ceremonial tree lighting in front of the First Baptist Church and offers live performances, photos with Santa, and holiday-themed events. 

Location: Plant Riverside District, 400 W. River St.

Hours: Nov. 25 to  Dec. 18, 2022, from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Then from Dec. 21, 2022, to Jan. 1, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Take A Stroll Through The Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens 

During the holiday season, the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens’ 10 acres of flora and greenery are lit up with more than a million Christmas lights. The twinkling lights and natural beauty make walking the grounds at night a sight to behold. With hot chocolate, holiday snacks, and Santa and Mrs. Claus available, the gardens are a great option for an after-dinner activity. Tickets are $15 for anyone over the age of 4.

Run Across The Talmadge Memorial Bridge With The Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run

If you’re a runner or training for a marathon, the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run may pique your interest. Held on the first Saturday in December, the bridge run is a big event for more than 5000 runners. The path travels from Savannah Civic Center through downtown Savannah, across the 5.5% grade of the Talmadge Memorial Bridge from Savannah Civic Center to Hutchinson Island.

Depending on their experience, runners can run a 5K, 10K, or a “double pump.” There’s also a kids’ run, a costume contest, and a health and wellness weekend with more than 25 vendors. Walkers and strollers are welcome, making it a great family activity. Registration for runners is $45 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, and $55 for the double pump. Watching the race is free.
